Medium Hair

Medium hair is close to coarse but not as thick. This texture of hair can take more products than fine hair and is much easier to maintain.

Caring for medium coarse hair is not so much a challenge. It requires a little TLC (Tender Loving Care) and the right products to give you great hair days. Our products are natural and will make your hair absolutely gorgeous.

Let us help you get that healthy hair you desire!

What you need to know about medium coarse hair

Having medium coarse hair is just like having coarse hair but the only difference is that the diameter is a little smaller and a little bigger than fine hair. However, medium is easier to manage than coarse hair. Coarse hair is hard to take chemicals and requires a lot of moisture. Example: You have coarse hair and get a texture service. The manufacturer says the process time is 20 min but your hair won't process in 20 minutes because it's too coarse. You have to allow the chemicals to sit on your hair for 30 min in order to process it. This is one of the problems with coarse hair. Then, with coarse hair you have to use products that detangle and add a lot of moisture to prevent it drying out, getting frizzy, breaking, shedding, or tangling.

How to care for medium coarse hair

Caring for medium coarse hair requires shampooing your hair at least three times a week. But, be sure that you don't have dry scalp because your scalp condition will get worse if you shampoo your hair three times a week. With dry scalp you want to use a shampoo that adds moisture or has natural extracts. All of our shampoos contain natural extracts so any one of them will be good for you. Our Moringa Oil Leave In Lotion also works wonders on dry scalp. If your scalp is always oily, you want to use shampoos that are not oily. However, just because a shampoo has oil in it doesn't mean it's oily. If the oil is listed near the top or middle of the ingredient list, it means that it has a good bit of oil in it. If it's listed near the bottom, it has less oil in it. Learning to read ingredient lists will be your key in choosing products for your hair and skin type.

Since fine hair is easily damaged, you should use products that moisturizes and keep the cuticle layer closed to trap moisture, prevent frizz, and detangle, which will stop breakage. Using products that detangle, deposits vitamins, minerals, and nutrients into your hair will strengthen your hair and keep it from breaking and shedding. Our Oat protein & Hemp Moisturizing Shampoo will add just enough moisture to each hair strand and our Moringa Oil Leave In Lotion is equipped with the right natural ingredients to make your fine hair grow healthy. These products won't weigh your hair down or make it limp. These are the only products you need, whether heat styling or roller setting.
